Starting from july 2021 a practical exam is required to achive a license for boating (pleasure craft).

Regulations on who needs what license is not explained on this page.

There are 2 levels :

• boating license pleasure craft (beperkt en algemeen stuurbrevet; brevet de conduite restreint et général)
• yachtman

You can choose between 'motor' and 'motor and sail.

The exam can be done on

• your own boat, provided it meets the requirements,
• a boat from the testcenter which meets the requirements

The content of test is determined by the belgian authorities.
